This painting is about 16” wide by 12” high. This was a commissioned wedding gift for the couple depicted in the image. The background of the scene is imagined, based on Pre-Columbian art of Mexico along with Celtic art around the central scene. The point of combining the two cultures in the artwork was to reflect the different cultures of the wedding couple, as well as to point to the similarities in the art styles.
