Orange Art Deco Clock

| This clock's face says, "Carpe Diem", commonly translated from the Latin to mean, "Seize the Day". The dominant color of orange is tempered with purple throughout the clock casing. The art on each of the 12 panels (including the half-moon panel above the clock case) is borrowed from artists of the Art Deco period with colors changed to suit the clock's vivid color scheme. The original artists created their images as promotions for the fashion designers of their day, creating some very classy advertising. There is storage within the clock inside the two doors, which makes a very efficient use of space in any home. The footprint of the clock is about 15" x 15" and its height is about 75" tall. The clock/pendulum runs on one AA battery, easily accessed inside the upper door. |
