Mucha White Lady
by Shirley Marie Dees |
|
| |
This is the inside face of a 9" x 12" book cover.
The main image is taken from Alfons Mucha's drawing "Invitation
to a Banquet" done in India ink in 1898. This book cover
is not for sale, but is provided as an example. Book covers are
valued depending on detail. The text on this artwork reads as
follows: "For all its superb observation, the flat
picture only means something to the eye because the mind fills
it out with roundness and movement, a reality by inference, which
is not actually seen but is imagined." -- Jacob Bronowski
